Janice Darr Cua | Biography | ||
Over
the last three decades, Janice Darr Cua has continued to perfect her
artistic style of Neo-Classicism. An innate reverence for the great
masters of the Renaissance and classic tradition are combined with an
innovative approach to visual effects, which characterize her paintings.
The diverse talents of Cua, adept in varying media are portrayed with
skill in her elaborate scenes of women, men, angels, Old World Statues and
horses. Whether exercising her extraordinary prowess for unusually
stirring Arabians, portraiture, defining the flavors of the Renaissance,
providing the viewer a sense of presence in the painting or capturing
fanciful whims of human imagination with charm and warmth, Cua delivers
scenes of striking depth and passion. As depicted in "The Sistine
Ceiling" Cua also passionately asserts the unity of man's body, mind
and spirit.
Her
paintings glow with reflective insight into human nature with much visual
warmth.
